How do honey bees use magnetism?

We had to choose an animal that used magnetism. I chose a honey bee.
It was very hard to find information on how honey bees used magnetism because there was hardly anything about how they used magnetism.

Forces and Motion - A Day of Learning

Last week, on Wednesday, we had a forces and motion day - Topana and neke. We learnt new things about forces and motions.  The day involved the whole school rotating around different classrooms and doing different activities. Each group got to do three out of eight activities.

After that, on Monday, we made a DLO about it. My DLO is embedded below.

Not finished.

I tried really hard to complete the three activities. I found the Lego activity challenging because I rarely use Lego, and we had to make a active merry-go-round.
If I was to do this again I would have taken an i-pad and have took pictures.

Abducted - My short story

WALT effectively use a writing structure (a narrative) that is appropriate to the purpose and reader.

We wrote a short story about a kind of journey. We had to use a minimum of 400 - 700 words.

I hope you enjoy my short story.

I really enjoyed this because I love writing stories. I learnt how to use show not tell.
Please tell me what you think.

Digital Technology Matariki Project - Bluebots and QR Codes

For Matariki we learnt about the stars. We made a special bluebot mat. On the mat we had QR codes and when you scanned the QR codes, you were taken to a google drawing that taught you about the Matariki stars. The kids had to code the bluebots to get to the QR code. We learnt that there are nine stars in the cluster and that each star has it's own name and something that is connected to, like the sea or weather.
